UX Writer Jobs - HBO, Loot & Namely

UX Writer Jobs - HBO, Loot & Namely
By Gordon Macrae • Issue #5 • View online

I’ve been up in Edinburgh this last week. Unfortunately it wasn’t for the festival, I was at a client site in a business park five minutes from the airport. It was as glamorous as it sounds.
Whenever I’m up there people I meet find it odd I have a Scottish name but no accent. It’s definitely an ice-breaker.
I’m starting to see more and more UX Writing gigs for remote positions. A word of warning, be careful when you see those listings. In-person collaboration is such an important part of this role.
Make sure you dig into working norms, rituals and reporting structure during the interview process. Unless the entire team is remote, it can be very difficult to get the level of collaboration you’re used to.
Take care out there.
There are currently 330 of you on this list. Here’s a Lexus 330 in a crash test.
On with the show.

North America
Namely are looking for a UX Writer (hat-tip to Veronica Camerafor the listing). Three years of experience and knowledge of working with a SAAS-based product for this one.
ecobee are hiring for a Senior UX Writer in Toronto. You’ll love working with IoT products and have 3-5 years of experience in an agency environment here.
Google are recruiting for a UX Writer to work on Nest. If you’re a UX Writer you should probably just bookmark the Google jobs page.
Tracy Ulin is leading the charge to recruit a UX Writer at Groupon. DM her directly for more details.
First Netflix, now the other TV providers are getting into the game. HBO are hiring for a UX Writer out of their Seattle office. They’re looking for a UX Writer who also knows JavaScript. Quite why, I couldn’t tell you.
Rest of the World
Loot are on the lookout for a UX Copywriter in London (hat-tip to Jonny Burch for this one). You’ll know Sketch and Adobe inside out and be willing to participate in “Forced Fun Fridays”. Which I’m sure is just as fun as it sounds.
Barclays are still hiring for a UX Copywriter in Northampton. Experience in finance and an interest in psychology a must here.
It must be a slow summer, Spotify still have this listing up for a UX Writer based in London.
Personio are hiring for a UX Writer in Munich. You’ll need to speak English and German to a “negotiable” level here. But you do get your own micro-scooter. So, win.
Thought Collaborative are a recruitment firm in Sydney and they’re looking for a UX Writer. The barrier to entry seems low on this one: word processing + content management. I’m sure most of you can achieve that.
